The Premium Stainless Steel Handpan D Kurd 12 is a mutant with a deep, warm sound - 10 fields on the top dome and 2 additional bass fields on the bottom.

Twelve carefully tuned fields - 10 on top, two on the bottom - open up a world of musical possibilities. The central D3 ding leads you through a circle of sounds, moving seamlessly from the warm tones of A3, Bb3, C4 to the luminous C5. Two additional fields on the bottom (F3, G3) add a new dimension of expression to the instrument and allow even more freedom for improvisation.

A: Yes—the D Kurd 12 (10+2) expands the classic Kurd 9 with three additional notes, including one on the top and two on the bottom shell. It offers significantly more melodic and harmonic possibilities. The two bottom shells allow for bass playing not available on standard 9-note models.
Q: What is the difference between D Kurd 12 and D Kurd 10?
A: The Kurd 12 has exactly the same top dome layout as the Kurd 10—the difference is two additional bass fields on the bottom (F3, G3). This expands the harmonic range to include the low notes and allows for more complex compositions with a richer harmonic backdrop.
Q: How long does it take to process and is there an express option?
A: Standard turnaround time is 2–3 months. The express option shortens this by approximately 4 weeks (available for an additional fee). A few weeks after your order is placed, I send you a video of the audio for your approval.
