The D Kurd 9 handpan is crafted from hundreds of precise hammer blows and long hours of tuning. Each pitch is tuned individually, and the work continues until the entire instrument plays cleanly and evenly.
We don't mass-produce this model—it's made to order. I select the tuning (432 or 440 Hz) and color with you at the outset.

What does the D Kurd 9 handpan sound like?
Stainless steel produces a clear, resonant tone and long sustain—the note lingers for several seconds after each strike. The D Kurd scale is a classic: minor, intuitive, and played by both beginners and professionals. Eight notes—from A3 to A4—surround the central D3, and the melody unfolds naturally under the fingers.
Each piece is unique – subtle differences in color and surface texture are a sign of handiwork.

Craft and philosophy
After a few weeks, you'll receive a video of your instrument's sound—you can either approve it or request a correction. Only then does the instrument move on to the next stage of production. Before shipping, I personally check the tuning of each note, as I play the handpan and know what to listen for.
