Handpan D Kurd 14 – the natural harmony of stainless steel
This handpan combines high-quality Premium stainless steel with the affordable price of the Professional Series.
With 12 notes positioned on the top dome, standard stainless steel doesn't provide the desired tonal properties. Therefore, in this model, we use the proven, earlier generation Premium 1.0 stainless steel, which still offers long sustain, a warm tone, and a rich, spacious sound.
The instrument is tuned by experienced makers responsible for the Professional Series. This combination allows for high sound quality while offering a lower price than the Mystic Series models, which are crafted from the latest Premium 2.0 steel.
The 53 cm diameter bowl consists of an upper dome with a central D3 ding and 11 sound fields, and a lower dome equipped with two additional fields. In total, the instrument offers 14 tones:
D3/A3 Bb3 C4 D4 E4 F4 G4 A4 C5 D5 E5 (F3 G3).
Such an expansive scale opens up a wide range of musical possibilities. It encourages free improvisation, the creation of atmospheric melodies, and the intuitive discovery of one's own musical language.
It's deep and coherent—it combines melancholy and brightness, making it perfect for both meditation and concert performance. Each instrument is individually tuned, precisely to 432 Hz or 440 Hz, depending on your preference.
This instrument was created for musicians, therapists, and anyone who wants to bring more harmony into their lives. Stainless steel ensures long sustain and increased weather resistance.

Keep in mind that the patina that forms on a handpan's surface may change color slightly over time. This doesn't affect the sound or tuning — it simply gives the instrument a unique, stylish vintage character.
